This was my post from last week. To update it, additional tests didn’t show anything conclusive and I’m still having gut/kidney pain and constant diarrhea for the past 9 days. It has been 10 days since getting the first Moderna vaccine after getting pretty sick with COVID back in June last year:

I apologize if TMI but this was my urine on Sunday at the ER for those that didn’t see my stories about this.

Before @freespiritspartan and I got the Moderna vaccine Thursday late afternoon, I had felt the best I’ve felt in the past 5 years. Thursday night and Friday we had the sore arm, felt sluggish and overall fatigued. Friday night it was like having covid again with body aches, chills, fever, sweats, etc, and also couldn’t sleep. I also went pee in the middle of night and panicked when I saw very dark brown urine.

Saturday morning my lower right abdomen/back was in excruciating pain but slowly subsided, but still overall fatigued and unwell, so we just stayed home all day. Woke up Easter Sunday morning to some delicious pancakes by Lynette but 5 minutes after my lower right abdomen pain came back so bad that I got nauseous and threw up from the pain (and I never throw up).

Lynette rushed me to the Emergency Room and my urine sample was still like this. They ran all types of tests and nothing was conclusive (good thing but also frustrating). I had some additional tests run this morning that should come back tomorrow so hoping for some additional answers. The doctor today did think it is likely an underlying kidney/gut issue that was triggered by the vaccine but the tests today should tell us a lot more.

Stomach pain much better yesterday and today but not eating much, off all vitamins/supplements/medications and sticking to an extra clean diet. My pee is back to normal color since the ER but my pee this morning still had high levels of blood and muscle protein.

Besides being sluggish/fatigued, Lynette and I are both having the worst sleep ever since getting the vaccine. Anyone else experiencing this?

I’ve had dozens of people ask me to keep these updates coming so I’m going to keep them coming. I’d definitely second guess getting the Moderna vaccine if you had Covid bad and if you have any GI/gut issues already.
