Tarxien Temples is an archaeological site in Malta. Included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Large stone blocks were discovered in 1914 by local peasants plowing a field.

Tarshien consists of three separate, but connected to each other, structures.

The main entrance was reconstructed in 1956, when the entire temple was restored. At the same time, many of the carved stones found around Tarshien were moved to the premises of the Archaeological Museum of La Valletta to be protected from destruction.

The first temple officially dates from around 3100 BC. e. Of all the temples in Malta, it is decorated with the most exquisite stone reliefs.
The middle temple dates from around 3000 BC. e., and, unlike all other temples in Malta, has three apses instead of two.
The eastern temple dates from around 3100 BC. e.
