~ Roundup safety? ~

Thinking about living in the country.
Even now, the deep-rooted "grass-killing" myth ...
Grandpa, Grandpa, Occhan, and Oba have a good chance of being grateful for "Roundup!" 👏👏🙇🏻‍♂️

I tried to organize and summarize it now.
It's been quite long, but ... 🙇🏻‍♂️💦

Japanese Roundup distributors and the government seem to say that Roundup is safe ... 😅💦

The U.S. EPA (US Environmental Protection Agency) and manufacturer and distributor Monsanto (acquired and absorbed by Bayer in June 2018) acknowledge that they have not conducted Roundup long-term safety testing. Do you know

Monsanto and EPA have not tested the safety of "final formulations", products that are actually on the market for Roundup and pesticides.

This means that there is no basis for Roundup to be safe.

"Glyphosate" is notorious as the main component of the herbicide "Roundup", whose danger has been talked about in various parts of the world, such as its carcinogenicity.

Even a small amount is NG!
There are many reasons why glyphosate is said to be dangerous ...!

1 Great impact on babies and toddlers.

Babies and toddlers have underdeveloped organs such as the liver and kidneys, and have insufficient ability to excrete toxins from the body and detoxify like adults.
Therefore, it is easily affected by toxins, and even a small amount is dangerous.

"Exposure to pesticides before birth and in early childhood is highly associated with childhood cancer, cognitive decline, behavioral disorders, etc." (American Academy of Pediatrics)

2 Accumulate in the body.

Glyphosate is not said to be disinfected by washing or boiling in daily life.

Therefore, it is completely unpredictable how much it will accumulate and concentrate in the bone marrow, tendons, muscles, etc., and how long it will accumulate in the body.

In other words, it cannot be denied that even a small amount every day may reach a dangerous level (glyphosate accumulates).

3 The contact route and the incidence of illness cannot be determined.

"The potential impact of pesticides on human health and the environment is diverse."
There is a 2011 research report with.

In summary,

・ It is unpredictable what kind of diseases pesticides cause.
・ It is unknown how long, how many times, and how dangerous it is to come into contact with elements such as crops, air, and pets.

Given the above, it is reasonable to consider that contact with glyphosate, even in small amounts, is dangerous.

4 Causes liver disease.

It has been found to be a major contributor to non-alcoholic liver disease.

In a 2012 study, Caen-Norman University gave Roundup to mice at 11%, 22%, and 33% concentrations in three patterns and observed their effects.

As a result, it was found that even a small amount of liver disease occurred.

Moreover, the concentration of glyphosate per 1 kg of mouse body weight was much lower than the permissible level of humans, which shows the danger of glyphosate.

By the way, according to the Hepatitis Information Center, 30-40% of people who receive human docks have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

In other words, it is estimated that there are a large number of potential patients, estimated to be 10 to 20 million.

It's hard to tell how much of this is due to glyphosate, but given the large number of Roundups in Japan, it's hard to say that it's irrelevant.

5 Disrupts and destroys endocrine fluids and hormones.

A 2005 study by Caen University in France demonstrated that glyphosate disrupts and destroys secretions and hormones.

Naturally, when endocrine fluids and hormones are disturbed, various adverse effects occur on the human body.

Typical examples are infertility and miscarriage.
Even at concentrations lower than those for agricultural use, it is extremely toxic to the placenta, which causes infertility and miscarriage.

In addition, it has been pointed out that it may lead to birth defects, autoimmune diseases, cancer and mental illness.

6 IARC (International Agency for Research on Cancer) recognizes carcinogenicity.

IARC, one of the WHO (World Health Organization), responded to Roundup in March 2015.
"Probably carcinogenic to humans"
Officially admits.

Moreover, this is classified into the top second group 2 in terms of carcinogenicity.
(Reuters disagreed with the above announcement, and IRAC further argued against it, and the grounds and credibility were suspected.)

7: Monsanto has received a compensation order of 32 billion yen.

The manufacturer, Monsanto, announced in August 2018 in San Francisco, USA.
"Cancer was caused by the herbicide Roundup."
A compensation order of 32 billion yen has been issued in Japanese yen to the terminal cancer patients who are suing.

Plaintiff Dwayne Johnson
"I used Roundup 20 to 30 times a year and had been exposed to it twice since 2012."
And that.

As a result, he was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2014 and appears to have terminal illness as of 2018.

By the way, more than 1,000 patients other than Mr. Johnson have already filed similar complaints, and it seems that the number of guilty cases has increased since then.
